The Albert Oldendorff (93,272 tdw) was originally built as a standard bulk carrier in 2010 and purchased by Oldendorff Carriers in 2019. She was renamed and converted to a transshipment vessel to serve our transshipment projects.
Albert Oldendorff (93,272 tdw), in conjunction with Johanna Oldendorff (67,546 tdw), are an ideal solution for performing EGAs bauxite export operation in Kamsar (Guinea) where they accommodate the loading of large Capesize bulk carriers.
The operation requires the transshipment vessels to be loaded at the draft restricted CBG berth. The ships then sail out to the deep-sea anchorage and utilise their cranes to transfer bauxite from their own cargo holds into ocean going vessels. Throughout the transshipment operations, Albert Oldendorff achieves transshipment rates of up to 40,000 metric tons per day and assists EGA in fulfilling their export goals by providing reliable transshipment services at near to zero downtime.
